June 2015
Shearing day has finally arrived. Master Shearer Dave Kier arrived a bit later this year, but with all the wet weather this year it can't be helped. 38 shetlands sheared in an hour and half, and all went smoothly. We are so blessed to have Dave as our shearer.

Lambing season is coming to an end. Still have 3 more ewe's to go before final count. The weather has finally warmed up and the grass is starting to grow. We put some of the first born lambs and ewe's out and they are enjoying running and playing.

Fall is here and winter is not far behind. Getting ready for breeding groups for the winter.

We are having Indian Summer and I'm loving it. Beautiful colors and warmer weather. We sorted through our flock yesterday and culled out quiet a few of them. Then I got coats on some of the girls. Going to have to buy some more.

June 2014
June was a busy month of lambing and lots of fun. Final count 14 ewes and 12 ram lambs. All ewe lambs were sold by July. Only a few ram lambs left.
The weather has been on the cool side, but the grass has been growing very well.
Today is July 13th and we had a warm day, 70 degree's YEAH! Baby chicks came in July 9th and it got down to 43 degrees during the night. Needless to say the heat lamp is on.

Most of our ewe's are done lambing only a couple more to go. April was wet and cool, we still have snowbanks behind the barn. Hope the grass starts growing soon, so the girls have plenty to eat.

November 2013
It's been a long fall. Had a cold that lasted most of October. September was mild and got a lot of stuff done outside. No bugs to contend with, yeah! We've been getting a lot of rain this month. Fields all have small ponds in them. I'm getting ready to get the breeding organized. Will take photo's and post a list as soon as everything is final.
